Ingredients:
Potatoes
Flour
Eggs
Salt, Nutmeg
Preparation:
If possible you cook the potatoes a day before. Peel the potatoes and put it through a potato press into a large bowl.
Do you have potatoes with a lot of starch, for each 2 pound of potatoes add one cup flour and one egg. Add some salt and nutmeg too.
Mix everything well, then make a ball with the dough. Take a piece of dough, you form the dough like a sausage, then you cut finger-thick pieces from the dough and roll them between both hands.
Your „Shoopfnoodles“ have to boil now in boiling water, until they float to the top.
Once the „Shoopfnoodles“ are cold, enter them into the pan and bake them until golden brown.
